SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 4 SCAD women's lacrosse team fell 19-9 to NCAA DIII Swarthmore College at home on Friday evening.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-5 overall, while the Garnet are 5-0 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD scored the first two goals of the game to take an early 2-0 lead with 12:31 remaining in the first quarter. Unfortunately, Swarthmore scored seven unanswered goals to go up 7-2 going into the second quarter.
The Bees started the scoring again in the second quarter to come within three (4-7) before the Garnet increased their lead to nine (13-4). Two more goals for SCAD brought them to 6-13 before Swarthmore scored the last goal in the quarter to go up 14-6 heading into halftime.
The third quarter proved to be low-scoring for both teams as Swarthmore scored three goals to SCAD's two to take a 17-8 lead into the final quarter.
With 13:34 remaining in the game, the Bees scored their last goal of the game, while the Garnet scored two more to earn the 19-9 win.

Clarke Haas added two goals and one assist while
Keagan Plume,
Ainsley Jones, and
MaryGrace Gordon totaled one goal and one assist.
Brielle Bouchard tallied one goal.
Annise Berkeley had a team-high six draw controls.
Grace Gibson tied a game-high three caused turnovers while goalies
Chloe Zundel and
Lorna Fowles split time in the cage and totaled six and seven saves, respectively.
