No. 4 Women’s Lacrosse Dominates, Winning 21-3 Over NCAA DIII Mount Holyoke

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 4 SCAD women's lacrosse team dominated on Tuesday afternoon, handing NCAA DIII Mount Holyoke College a 21-3 loss.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 5-5 overall, while the Lyons are now 1-7.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD scored the first goal of the game with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Mount Holyoke responded with back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead with 6:58 remaining in the quarter. The Bees tied it up at the 4:20 mark to go into the second quarter tied at two-all.
 
SCAD put on a clinic in the second and third quarters, scoring a combined 17 unanswered goals between the two to take a 19-2 lead heading into the final quarter.
 
The Bees scored their 20th goal just under a minute into the fourth quarter and neither team scored for 12 minutes. The Lyons scored their last goal with 1:47 on the clock, and SCAD responded with its last goal as the clock ran out to earn the 21-3 win.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Annise Berkeley totaled four goals and two assists for six points, while Keagan Plume totaled three goals and a game-high four assists for a game-high seven points.
 
Clarke Haas and Ainsley Jones scored three goals each, with Haas adding an assist. Emma Roch had two goals and one assist, while Brielle Bouchard tallied two goals. Molly Wilson, Paige Christoff, MaryGrace Gordon, and McKinsey all scored one goal.
 
Clarke Haas had a game-high seven draw controls, while Annise Berkeley totaled five.
 
Goalies Lorna Fowles and Chloe Zundel split time in the cage, nabbing five and one save, respectively.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees hit the road to take on St. Thomas University on Thursday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. to open Sun Conference action.
