HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD men's lacrosse team picked up its first Appalachian Athletic Conference win of the season with a 10-9 win over No. RV Tennessee Wesleyan University on Friday.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-2, 1-1 AAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-5, 0-3 AAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD got on the board first with a goal at the 11:31 mark. Tennessee Wesleyan answered three minutes later with a goal of their own to tie the game at one-all. However, SCAD the Bees scored two unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead going into the second quarter.
The Bulldogs scored the only two goals of the second quarter to knot the game at three heading into halftime.
SCAD scored just over a minute into the third quarter to go up by one (4-3), but Tennessee Wesleyan scored again to tie the game for the third time (4-4). Fortunately, the Bees scored two more goals, to the Bulldogs' one, to take a 6-5 lead into the final quarter.
Both teams traded goals until the game was tied for the fourth time, at 8-8 with just over six minutes remaining in regulation. SCAD outscored Tennessee Wesleyan 2-1 in the final minutes of the game to earn the 10-9 win.

Luke Lamendola continues to have career games, this time totaling a career-high 13 saves in his 60 minutes of work.
Jake Kozak had a game-high 10 ground balls while also causing one turnover.
Lucas Martinez went 15-18 at the face-off, picking up six ground balls and adding one assist in the process.
Noah Moreland led the offensive charge with three goals, while
Michael Mowers and
Sebastian Manuel totaled two goals and one assist each.
Jordan Reeves,
Evan Baker, and
Hunter Currie totaled one goal apiece.
Theron Turnbull and
Aidan Heuer had one assist.
