HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD men's lacrosse team lost 16-3 to No. 4 Reinhardt at home on Saturday afternoon.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-2, 0-1 AAC, while the Eagles improve to 3-0, 1-0 AAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Reinhardt scored the first goal of the game in just under 40 seconds to take a quick 1-0 lead. SCAD answered with a goal of their own to make it a 1-1 game with 10:51 remaining in the quarter. An Eagles goal followed by a SCAD goal kept the game tied (2-2) with just over eight minutes remaining.
Back-to-back goals from Reinhardt, with just under two minutes remaining, gave the Eagles a 4-2 lead going into the second quarter.
The Bees defense held Reinhardt to only two goals in the second quarter to bring the score to 6-2 going into halftime.
Reinhardt scored the first goal of the third quarter, which was followed by SCAD's last goal of the game, as the Eagles scored nine unanswered goals to win 16-3.
