MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The No. 14 SCAD women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Florida Memorial University on Thursday afternoon.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 12-1-2 (SUN 6-0-1) for the season. The Lions fall to 8-5-2 (SUN 4-4-2)
HOW IT HAPPENED: Despite controlling possession and creating numerous chances in the first half, SCAD was unable to break through initially. The Bees outshot Florida Memorial 7-3 in the opening period but found themselves locked in a scoreless draw at halftime.
The breakthrough finally came in the 66th minute when Abigail Siddall found the net off an assist from Sydney Chura. Siddall would complete her brace in the 80th minute with a goal to secure the 2-0 victory.
SCAD demonstrated their offensive dominance throughout the match, recording 23 shots to Florida Memorial's four, while also earning four corner kicks.
