SAVANNAH, Ga. - The SCAD women's soccer team secured a 2-0 victory over Webber International on Saturday in Babson Park, Florida.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 11-1-1(SUN 4-0-0) for the season, while Webber International falls to 1-8-0 (SUN 1-6-0).
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD controlled the tempo from the start, out-shooting their opponents 16-5. The Bees broke through in the 31st minute when Ines Sommer found the back of the net to give SCAD a 1-0 lead. The Bees continued to apply pressure throughout the match, earning nine corner kicks while conceding none.
Ida Akesson doubled SCAD's advantage in the 61st minute, securing the 2-0 victory. The Bees' defense remained solid throughout, allowing only two shots on target.
