HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD men's soccer team dominated on Saturday night, besting Warner University 6-2 in front of a home crowd on National New Friends Day.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 7-3-2, 3-1-0 SUN, while the Royals are now 2-7-3, 0-4-1, SUN.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD got on the board quickly with a penalty kick goal from
Mario Goic, giving the Bees a 1-0 lead 43 seconds into the game.
Just under three minutes later, Warner made it even with a goal at the 3:19 mark.
Moritz Prattes, with an assist from
Raffael Mohr, made it a 2-1 game in favor of SCAD in the 11
th minute, a lead that would hold for the remainder of the half.
The Royals tied the game once again in the 58
th minute, but it would be their last goal as the Bees scored four unanswered goals from Goic (2), Rothe, and Lara, with Mohr totaling two more assists, to earn the 6-2 win.
