THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The SCAD men's soccer team lost 3-2 to Thomas University on Friday morning.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-1-1 while the Night Hawks are now 2-1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Thomas started the scoring with a goal in the 41
st minute to take a 1-0 lead going into the half.
Fabian Ekblom scored the first goal of the second half off an assist from
Tim Rothe to tie the game at the 58:18 mark to tie the game at 1-1.
The Night Hawks scored again in the 67
th minute to go up by one (2-1) but the Bees answered with a goal from
Caio Lara in the 81
st minute to knot the game at two-all.
Unfortunately, Thomas scored the last goal of the game with just over five minutes remaining to win 3-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees totaled 8 shots, four on goal, and five corker kicks.
Fabian Ekblom and
Caio Lara led the offense with one goal each.
Tim Rothe totaled one assist while
James Holmes and
Ryan Holmes took two shots a piece.
Goalie
Connor Friel tallied two saves in his 90 minutes of work.
