HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No. 12 SCAD women's soccer team continues to impress, defeating Ave Maria 2-0 at home on Saturday for their eight-consecutive win and sixth shutout of the season.
RECORDS: The Bees are unbeaten with an 8-0-0, 4-0-0 SUN record, while the Gyrenes are now 3-3-2, 1-2-1 SUN.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The game remained scoreless through the first half, with both teams possessing the ball.
The Bees scored the first goal not even five minutes into the second half when
Sydney Chura took a shot that rebounded to the feet of
Berglind Baldursdottir, who followed through, finding the back of the net to give SCAD the 1-0 lead.
Sydney Chura scored the insurance goal, her fifth goal of the season when her shot found the top right corner of the net to make it a 2-0 game.
Neither team would score for the remainder of the game, and SCAD earned the 2-0 win.

Sydney Chura totaled a game-high three points with one goal and one assist, while
Berglind Baldursdottir tallied one goal.

Mia Gomez totaled two shots on goal, while

Jasey Beaver had one shot on goal each.
