MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 8 SCAD women's tennis team competed in the NAIA National Championship starting in the second round on Wednesday, May 17^th competing against No. 9 William Carey, losing 4-0.
 
RECORDS: The Bees end their season with a record of 9-11 while the Crusaders are now 13-10.
 
DOUBLES ACTION: William Carey was able to win the doubles point by defeating number one and number three doubles.
 
The pair of Alessia Piccoliori and Francina Puig Llompart won 6-1 in number two doubles.
 
In number one doubles, Yue Yu and Sofia Ragona lost 2-6 while Caroline Lewis and Lisa Konrad lost 1-6 in number three doubles.
 
SINGLES ACTION: Alessia Piccoliori (S. Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) fell 0-6, 3-6 at number one singles while Francina Puig Llompart (Palam de Mallorca, Spain / Interior Design) lost 2-6, 1-6 at number four singles.
 
At number five singles, Caroline Lewis (Marietta, Ga. / Fashion Marketing and Management) fell 3-6, 1-6.
 
The Crusaders were able to win the majority before all matches were completed. Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) competed at number two singles with a score of 6-1 and 4-2 unfinished. In number three single, Sofia Ragona (Turin, Italy / Luxury and Brand Management) had a score of 7-6 unable to start the second while Lisa Konrad (Karlsruhe, Germany / Fashion) had a score of 4-6, 2-3 unfinished.
