BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The No. 8 SCAD women's tennis team competed in the Sun Conference Championship Semi-final against No. 1 Keiser University, losing 4-0.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 9-10 while the Seahawks advance to 18-1.
DOUBLES ACTION: Keiser was able to win the doubles points by defeated number two and three doubles. Number one doubles was unable to finish before the majority was won.
In number two doubles,
Alessia Piccoliori and
Francina Puig Llompart finished 2-6 while
Caroline Lewis and
Britain Botsford, in number three doubles, finished 3-6.
Yue Yu and
Sofia Ragona left their number one doubles match unfinished at 5-6.
SINGLES ACTION: Alessia Piccoliori (S. Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) fell 2-6, 2-6 at number one singles while
Caroline Lewis (Marietta, Ga. / Fashion Marketing and Management) lost 2-6, 0-6 at number five singles.
At number six singles,
Britain Botsford (Delray Beach, Fla. / Film and Television) fell 3-6, 0-6.
The Seahawks were able to win the majority before all matches were completed.
Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) competed at number two singles with a score of 2-6 and 2-2 unfinished. In number three singles,
Sofia Ragona (Turin, Italy / Luxury and Brand Management) had a score of 7-6 and the second match was 0-1 while
Francina Puig Llompart (Palma de Mallorca, Interior Design) had scored of 3-6, 1-1 unfinished.
