No. 8 Women’s Tennis Advanced to SUN Championship Semi-Finals

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The No. 8 SCAD women's tennis team competed in the Sun Conference Championship Quarterfinals against No. 12 St. Thomas University winning 4-1.
 
SUN AWARDS: Prior to the start of the match, the Sun Conference released the 2023 SUN Women's Tennis All Conference Teams.

RECORDS: The Bees advance to 9-9 while the Bobcats are now 18-6.
 
DOUBLES ACTION: The doubles pair of Alessia Piccoliori and Francina Puig Llompart was the only team to win their match with a score of 6-0 at number two doubles.
 
St. Thomas won their only point by winning over the number one pair of Yue Yu and Sofia Ragona 3-6 and the number three pair of Caroline Lewis and Britain Botsford 3-6.
 
SINGLES ACTION: In singles, SCAD earned four points with the order of finishing being two, six, one, and three. The Bees won the majority of the points in singles before numbers four and five could finish their matches.
