SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. RV men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 win over the visiting USC Sumter on Friday afternoon.
RECORDS: The Bees advance to 4-10, while the Fire Ants are now 4-9.
DOUBLES ACTION: SCAD's first point came in doubles action, with the Bees earning the point with wins at numbers two and three doubles.
Mark Tryakshin and
Nicola Buffo (Legnago, Italy / Social Strategy and Management) won 6-4 at number two while
Liam Stoica (Auckland, New Zealand / User Experience (UX) Design) and
Johan Karlsson won 6-3 at number three doubles.
Danil Ozernoy and
David Lopez Cruz were down 5-4 when the point was called.
SINGLES ACTION: Following doubles, the Bees won five of the six singles matches to earn the 6-1 win.
- Mark Tryakshin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan / Digital Media) defeated M. Collignon 6-0, 6-2.
- Danil Ozernoy (Almaty, Kazakhstan / Advertising and Branding) defeated F. Roman 6-3, 6-2.
- David Lopez Cruz (Sevilla, Spain / Interactive Design / Game Development) defeated A. Diaz 7-6, 6-7, 10-8.
- Johan Karlsson (Eskilstuna, Sweden / Architecture) defeated M. Molina 2-6, 6-2, 10-4.
- Eddie Wade (Cincinnati, Ohio / Fashion Marketing and Management) lost 5-7, 2-6.
- Carson O'Hara (Meridian, Idaho / User Experience (UX) Design) defeated K. Johansson 6-7, 6-3, 10-7.
