SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 5 SCAD women's lacrosse team played No. 6 Life University on Friday afternoon in the Sun Conference Championship Semi-Finals, winning 14-12.
SUN AWARDS: Prior to the start to the match, the Sun Conference released the 2023 SUN Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams.

Keagan Plume was recognized in between the 12 o'clock game and the four o'clock with the Sun Conference Champion of Character award.
RECORDS: The Bees advance to 9-5, while the Running Eagles are now 9-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD started the scoring five minutes into the game with three goals. The first came from
Clarke Haas (Pensacola, Fla. / Fashion Marketing and Management), the second from
Aly De Caro (El Dorado Hills, Calif. / Advertising and Branding) assisted by Hass while they were a man down, and the third came from Haas assisted by
Annise Berkeley (Massillon, Ohio / Architecture). Life was able to score a last-minute goal at the 00:10 mark bringing the score to 3-1.
The Running Eagles opened the second quarter with a goal but was quickly answered by Berkeley. Life scored four more times, which was broken up by a goal from Haas, with the last goal of the quarter scored at the 00:15 mark from Haas assisted by
Ainsley Jones (Harvard, Mass. / Graphic Design). The score going into the half was tied 6-6.
Back and forth goals from each team happened during the third with the first from the Bee's De Caro assisted by
Keagan Plume (Glen Arm, Md. / Architecture). Life scored their first goal of the third at the 10:44 mark but was answered by a SCAD goal from Haas. The Running Eagles scored again tying the score 8-8 going into the fourth.
Life scored the first goal of the fourth with 13:41 on the clock to bring the score to 9-8. Jones assisted by De Caro was able to score for the Bees to bring the score back to a tied state of 9-9. The Running Eagles scored three consecutive goals only minutes apart leaving the score at 12-9 with 8:09 left in the game.
SCAD was able to score three free position points with the first from Haas at the 6:17 mark and the next two from Berkeley at the 5:59 and 5:44 marks. To finish the game,
Isabel Verrier (Topsfield, Mass. / Interior Design) scored twice with one assist from Plume and the other from De Caro to give the Bees the 14-12 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Haas led the offensive charge with six goals, and one caused turnover. She also received four draw controls and one assist.
Grace Gibson (Kennesaw, Ga. / Business and Beauty and Fragrance) had the team high of ground balls with four while Gibson and
Kambria Barry (Orlando, Fla. / Architecture) had the team high of three caused turnovers each.
Goalie
Lorna Fowles (Petaluma, Calif. / Animation) made 10 saves, took control of three ground balls, and had one caused turnover in her 45 minutes of work while goalie
Chloe Zundel (Santa Clarita, Calif. / Interior Design) made two saves in her 15 minutes of work.
