SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 8 SCAD women's tennis team handed Warner University a 5-0 loss at home on Friday.
RECORDS: The Bees advance to 8-8, 3-2 SUN while the Royals are now 2-16, 0-6 SUN.
DOUBLES ACTION: SCAD scored the first point of the match when the doubles pair of
Yue Yu and
Sofia Ragona won 6-1 at the number one spot while
Lisa Konrad and
Chloe Cobianchi Chloe won 6-2 at number three doubles.
Alessia Piccoliori and
Francina Puig Llompart were not able to finish their match before the point was won; they finished their match with a score of 5-2.
SINGLES ACTION: Following doubles, the Bees continues to dominate, winning four singles matches to earn the 5-0 win.
- Alessia Piccoliori (S. Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) defeated R. Cook 6-0, 6-0.
- Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) defeated C. Matos 6-1, 6-1.
- Sofia Ragona (Turin, Italy / Luxury and Brand Management) defeated V. Belisario 6-0, 6-0.
- Francina Puig Llompart (Palma de Mallorca, Spain / Interior Design) defeated 6-1, 6-0.
Chloe Cobianchi (Bologna, Italy / Undeclared) and
Lisa Konrad (Karlsruhe, Germany / Fashion) did not finish their matches before the Bees were able to win the majority. Cobianchi finished at number five singles with a score of 5-0 and Konrad finished at number six singles with a score of 1-0.
