SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 8 SCAD women's tennis team competed against No. 6 Southeastern University on Saturday afternoon with a close score of 4-3 in favor of the Fire.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 8-9, 3-3 SUN while the Fire is now 11-6, 4-2 SUN.
 
DOUBLES ACTION: The doubles pair of Yue Yu and Sofia Ragona won at number one doubles with a score of 6-1 while the pair of Francina Puig Llompart and Alessia Piccoliori won with a score of 6-4 at number two doubles giving SCAD their first point.
 
Chloe Cobianchi and Lisa Konrad lost at number three doubles with a score of 3-6.
 
SINGLES ACTION: Alessia Piccoliori (S. Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) and Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) were the only ones to win their singles matches to give the Bees their other two points. Piccoliroi won at number one singles with scores of 6-0, 6-2 and Yu won at number two singles with scores of 6-0, 6-0.
 
Sofia Ragona (Turin, Italy / Luxury and Brand Management) fell 0-6, 6-3, and 2-6 at number three singles while Francina Puig Llompart (Palma de Mallorca, Spain / Interior Design) lost 3-6, 5-7 at number four singles.
 
At number five singles, Chloe Cobianchi (Bologna, Italy / Undeclared) fell 2-6, 2-6 while Lisa Konrad (Karlsruhe, Germany / Fashion) lost 4-6, 3-6 at number six singles.
