FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The No. 24 SCAD men's tennis team traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to compete against No. 1 Keiser University on Saturday, losing 6-1.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-8, 0-4 SUN while the Seahawks advance to 14-4, 5-0 SUN.
DOUBLES ACTION: Keiser was able to win against all three doubles teams. The pair of Ozernoy and Lopez Cruz lost at number one doubles with a score of 4-6 while Tryakshin and Karlsson lost at number two doubles with a score of 2-6.
At number three doubles, Stoica and
Eddie Wade (Cincinnati, Ohio / Fashion Marketing and Management) fell with a score of 0-6.
SINGLES ACTION: Danil Ozernoy (Almaty, Kazakhstan / Advertising and Branding) was the only Bee who won at number two singles with scores of 7-5, 6-4 to give SCAD their only point.
Mark Tryaskshin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan / Digital Media) lost 4-6, 0-6 at number one singles while
Liam Stoica (Auckland, New Zealand / User Experience (UX) Design) lost 5-7, 6-7(5) at number three singles.
At number four singles,
Johan Karlsson (Eskilstuna, Sweden / Architecture) fell 0-6, 2-6 while
David Lopez Cruz (Sevilla, Spain / Interactive Design / Game Development) and
Carson O'Hara (Meridian, Idaho / User Experience (UX) Design) lost 3-6, 0-6 and 0-6, 0-6 at numbers five and six, respectively.
