SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 24 SCAD men's tennis team picked up its second win of the season with a 6-1 decision over the visiting Marian University Knights.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-3 overall while the Knights are 10-6.
DOUBLES ACTION: SCAD's first point came in doubles action, with the Bees earning the point with wins at numbers one and three doubles.
Danil Ozernoy and
David Lopez Cruz won 6-0 at number one doubles while
Liam Stoica and
Eddie Wade (Cincinnati, Ohio / Fashion Marketing and Management) won 6-2 at number three doubles.
Mark Tryakshin and
Johan Karlsson were down 5-2 when the point was called.
SINGLES ACTION: Following doubles, the Bees won five of the six singles matches to earn the 6-1 win.
- Mark Tryakshin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan / Digital Media) defeated M. Griffin 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
- Danil Ozernoy (Almaty, Kazakhstan / Advertising and Branding) defeated D. Voschenkov 6-3, 6-1.
- Liam Stoica (Auckland, New Zealand / User Experience (UX) Design) defeated J. Henze 6-0, 6-2.
- Johan Karlsson (Eskilstuna, Sweden / Architecture) defeated A. Ilett 6-3, 6-2.
- David Lopez Cruz (Sevilla, Spain / Interactive Design/Game Development) defeated A. Bhat 6-2, 6-1
- Carson O'Hara (Meridian, Idaho / User Experience (UX) Design) lost 3-6, 0-6.
