CONWAY, S.C. – The No. 24 men's tennis team traveled to Conway, S.C. on Saturday and competed against Coastal Carolina University, losing 4-0.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-4, 0-1 SUN while the Chanticleers are 9-4, 0-0 SBC.
DOUBLES ACTION: In number one doubles,
David Lopez Cruz (Sevilla, Spain / Interactive Design / Game Development) and Ozernoy were defeated 1-6 while Stoica and O'Hara lost in number three doubles 2-6.
Coastal was able to win the doubles point before the number two doubles team of Tryakshin and Karlsson were able to finish their match leaving the score at 3-4.
SINGLES ACTION: Mark Tryakshin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan / Digital Media) fell 2-6, 1-6 at number one singles while
Johan Karlsson (Eskilstuna, Sweden / Architecture) lost 3-6, 1-6 at number four singles.
At number five singles,
Gui Sousa (Lisbon, Portugal / Illustration) fell 0-6, 1-6.
The Chanticleers were able to win the majority before all matches were completed.
Danil Ozernoy (Almaty, Kazakhstan / Advertising and Branding) competed at number two singles with a score of 6-3 , 1-2 unable to finish the second match. In number three singles,
Liam Stoica (Auckland, New Zealand / User Experience (UX) Design) had scores of 6-7, 0-UF while
Carson O'Hara (Meridian, Idaho / User Experience (UX) Design) had scores of 1-6, 4-3 UF in number six singles.
