LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 24 men's tennis team traveled to Lawrenceville, Ga. on Saturday and competed against Georgia Gwinnett College, losing 7-0.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-5 while the Grizzlies advance to 13-1.
DOUBLES ACTION: In number one doubles, Ozernoy and Stoica were defeated 6-3 while O'Hara and Sousa lost in number three doubles 6-0.
Georgia Gwinnett was able to win the doubles point before the number two doubles team of Tryakshin and Karlsson were able to finish leaving their match at the score of 4-5.
SINGLES ACTION: Mark Tryakshin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan / Digital Media) fell 1-6, 6-1, 6-10 at number one singles while
Danil Ozernoy (Almaty, Kazakhstan / Advertising and Branding) lost 3-6, 1-6 at number two singles.
At number three singles,
Liam Stoica (Auckland, New Zealand / User Experience (UX) Design) fell 1-6, 2-6 while
Johan Karlsson (Eskilstuna, Sweden / Architecture) and
Carson O'Hara (Meridian, Idaho / User Experience (UX) Design) lost 0-6, 0-6 and 1-6, 0-6 at numbers four and five spots, respectively.
Gui Sousa (Lisbon, Portugal / Illustration) lost at number six singles with scores of 0-6, 0-6.
