LIVONIA, Mich. – The SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to Livonia, Mich. to compete against no. RV Madonna University on Thursday afternoon, losing 11-6.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-7 while the Crusaders advance to 4-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Madonna started the scoring during the second quarter at the 9:51 mark. They were able to score three goals, while SCAD scored one at the 5:12 mark from
Evan Baker (Saint Augustine, Fla. / Furniture Design) to end the score 3-1 going into the third.
A quick goal from the Crusaders started off the third followed by two goals from the Bees. The first from
Jordan Reeves (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada / Architecture) assisted by
Max Williams (Irmo, S.C. / Illustration) and the second from
Theron Turnbull (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Architecture).
Madonna scored three more goals to end their scoring streak in the third. SCAD was able to score two quick goals one at the 0:36 mark from Reeves and one from
Lucas Martinez (Aurora, Ohio / Service Design) at the 0:24 mark to round the score out to 7-5 at the end of the third.
The Crusaders was able to score four goals in the fourth but was answered by a Bees goal from Reeves assisted by Williams which finished the game with a score of 11-6.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Reeves led the offensive charge with three goals followed by Baker with one goal, three caused turnovers, and one ground ball.
Martinez and Turnbull totaled one goal each with Martinez gaining control of five ground balls and Turnbull getting one caused turnover.
Goalie
Benny Goldberg (West Bloomfield, Mich. / Industrial Design) made 18 saves and had four ground balls in his 60 minutes of work.
