RECORDS: The Bees are now 5-3, 1-0 SUN while the Mariners are 0-1, 0-1 SUN.
DOUBLES ACTION: The pair of
Yue Yu and
Alessia Piccoliori won 6-4 against the Mariners at number one doubles while
Francina Puig Llompart and
Britain Botsford also won their doubles match 6-3 at the number three doubles. These gave the Bees the doubles point.
The point was won before the doubles team of
Sofia Ragona and
Chloe Cobianchi (Bologna, Italy / Undeclared) finished their match. Their score stood at 7(7)-6(3).
SINGLE ACTION: Alessia Piccoliori (S.Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) won 6-3, 7-5 at number one singles, while
Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) won 6-0, 6-0 at number two singles.
At number three singles,
Sofia Ragona (Turin, Italy / Luxury and Brand Management) won 7-6, 6-2 with
Francina Puig Llompart (Palma de Mallorca, Spain / Interior Design) winning at number four singles with scores of 6-2, 6-0.
Britain Botsford (Delray Beach, Fla. / Film and Television) won at number five singles with scores of 7-5, 4-6, and 10-7.
Caroline Lewis (Marietta, Ga. / Fashion Marketing and Management) lost at number six singles with scores of 6-4, 1-6, and 7-10.
