HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD men's lacrosse team hosted No. 1 Keiser University on Friday afternoon where they lost 12-8.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-5, 1-4 AAC while the Seahawks are 9-0, 4-0 AAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Keiser began scoring at the 13:51 mark with two goals but was answered by a SCAD goal made by
Seth Leister (Palm Coast, Fla. / User Experience (UX) Design) assisted by
Max Williams (Irmo, S.C. / Illustration). The Seahawks then scored one more goal to finish out the first quarter bringing the score 3-1.
Starting off the second quarter, Keiser scored four consecutive goals. The streak was broken when Leister scored for the Bees at the 3:18 mark. The Seahawks scored again to bring the score to 8-2 going into the half.
The Bees came out scoring first in the third quarter with a goal from Williams assisted by
Michael Mowers (Savannah, Ga. / Film and Television) followed by another Keiser goal. SCAD's
Jordan Reeves (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada / Architecture) assisted by Leister was able to find the net at the 6:23 mark but was answered by a Seahawk's goal ending the third quarter with a score of 10-4.
Going into the fourth quarter, the Bees started off strong getting two goals, one from Mowers assisted by
Evan Baker (Saint Augustine, Fla. / Furniture Design) and one from Leister assisted by
Theron Turnbull (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Architecture). Keiser scored at the 3:58 mark followed closely by SCAD's Reeves assisted by
Matt Tolmer (Bridgeville, Pa. / Animation). The Seahawks were able to score one last goal, but the Bee's did not let it go unanswered; Williams unassisted gave SCAD their last goal finishing the score at 12-8.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Leister led the Bees' offense with three goals and one assist followed by Williams and Reeves who each had two goals. Williams also had one assist and two ground balls while Reeves had one.
Mowers was able to score one goal, have one assist and one ground ball.
Jake Kozak (Bel Air, Md. / Illustration) totaled three caused turnovers and was able to pick up one ground ball.
Goalie
Benny Goldberg (West Bloomfield, Mich. / Industrial Design) totaled 15 saves in his 60 minutes of work as well as picking up three ground balls.

th at 7:00 p.m.
