ATLANTA, Ga. – The No. 3 women's tennis team traveled to Atlanta, Ga. on Friday and competed against Emory University, losing 1-8.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-3 while the Eagles are 1-1.
DOUBLES ACTION: Yue Yu and
Alessia Piccoliori won 8-7 at number one doubles giving SCAD their only point.
Lisa Konrad (Karlsruhe, Germany / Fashion) and
Sofia Ragona lost 8-2 at number two doubles while
Francina Puig Llompart and
Chloe Cobianchi lost 8-4 at number three doubles.
SINGLES ACTION: Alessia Piccoliori (S.Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) fell 5-7, 7-5, and 4-6 at number one singles while
Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) lost 2-6, 0-6 at number two singles.
At number three singles,
Sofia Ragona (Turin, Italy / Luxury and Brand Management) fell 2-6, 4-6 while
Francina Puig Llompart (Palma de Mallorca, Spain / Interior Design) and
Chloe Cobianchi (Bologna, Italy / Undeclared) lost 3-6, 0-6 and 1-6, 1-6 in the numbers four and five spots, respectively.
Caroline Lewis (Marietta, Ga. / Fashion Marketing and Management), in number six singles, lost 1-6, 1-6.
