HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No. 5 SCAD women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a 3-0 win over Florida Memorial on Saturday.
RECORDS: The Bees are 14-1-1, 10-1-1 SUN, while the Lions are now 3-11-2, 1-11-0 SUN.

HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD started the scoring early when
Berglind Baldursdottir intercepted the ball in the middle of the field and sent it to the feet of an approaching
Sydney Chura who was able to put it over the goalie into the back of the net to give the Bees a 1-0 lead at the 3:30 mark.
Just under 30 minutes later,
Ines Sommer made it a 2-0 game when she took the ball about 30 yards out and managed to work her way through the defenders to put it to the left of the oncoming goalie to pick up the unassisted goal.
The last goal of the game came when
Mia Gomez took the ball off the defender inside the box and was able to find the back of the net to give SCAD the 3-0 lead, and ultimately, the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees defense held the Lions to only two shots, none on goal while the offense totaled 18 shots on goal.
Sydney Chura had what turned out to be the the game-winning goal while
Ines Sommer and
Mia Gomez added one goal as well.
Berglind Baldursdottir added one assist.
Phoebe Peters and
Nina Otto tallied four shots on goal while
Alyssa Smith had two.
Goalies
Katelynn Balsiger, Zoe Goodale, and
Alison Barczak split time in the goal but did not face a shot.
