6-12 Loss for SCAD Men’s Lacrosse

Box Score HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD men's lacrosse team hosted #9 Tennessee Wesleyan University on Saturday for Senior Day.

RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-7, 2-6 ACC while the Bulldogs' record is 13-2, 6-1 ACC.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  The Bulldogs started the first quarter off with two goals at the 04:00 mark making the score 0-2 to go into the second quarter.

Tennessee Wesleyan scored a quick goal right at the start of the second quarter, but was quickly answered by a goal from SCAD's Jordan Reeves (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada / Architecture) and Banks Maynard (Harrisburg, N.C. / Motion Media Design).

Three more goals score for the Bulldogs then to wrap up the second quarter Reeves and Theron Turnbull (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Architecture) scored bringing the score up 4-6.

Starting off the third quarter, Reeves scored unassisted at the 0:46 mark along with Michael Mowers (Savannah, Ga. / Film and Television) shortly after broken up only by one Bulldogs goal bringing the Bees up to 6-7.

Wrapping up the end of the third and finishing the fourth Tennessee Wesleyan was able to score five more goals against SCAD finishing the game with a score of 6-12.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Reeves had a team-high of three goals to give him three points. He also caused two caused turnovers.

Kevin Curry (Sandy Hook, Conn. / User Experience (UX) Design) had a team-high of six ground balls. Bryant Aquino (Cincinnati, Ohio / Photography) had the team-high of four caused turnovers.

Goalie Ross Wiseman (Loveland, Ohio / Animation) totaled 18 saves in his sixty minutes of work.  

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel on April 16th to the Quarterfinals for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship.
