Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Over two days, the No. 4 SCAD women's tennis team competed against No. RV St. Thomas University and are coming away with a 3-4 loss.
RAIN DELAY: The match started on Saturday (2/19) but due to inclement weather it was postponed until Sunday (2/20). At the stop on Saturday, the Bees were tied 2-2 with the Bobcats.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-2, 1-1 SUN while the Bobcats are now 2-4, 1-1 SUN.
DOUBLES: SCAD won the doubles point as Piccoliori/Llompart won 7-5 at number two doubles and Tobrand/Botsford won 6-4 in the number three spot.
Sukkanha/Katzarkov lost 5-6 at number one doubles.
SINGLES: Priya Sukkanha (Nothaburi, Thailand / Fashion Marketing and Management) won 6-3, 6-0 at number one singles while
Britain Botsford (Delray Beach, Fla. / Film and Television) won 6-3, 6-4 at number six singles to give the Bees their three points.
Alessia Piccoliori (S.Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Deisgn) lost 4-6, 6-3, 0-6 at number two singles while
Francina Llompart (Palma De Mallorca, Spain / Interior Design) lost 3-6, 4-6 at number three singles.
At number four singles,
Tova Tilk Tobrand (Gothenburg, Sweden / User Experience (UX) Design) lost 5-7, 2-6 while
Caroline Lewis (Marietta, Ga. / Fashion Marketing and Management) lost 4-6, 1-6 in the number five slot.
