Box Score NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – The No. 6 SCAD women's tennis team battled No. 4 Indiana Wesleyan in the NAIA National Indoor Championship final on Saturday and lost 4-3.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-1 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 24-0.
DOUBLES: SCAD earned the doubles point winning at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Piccoliori and Llompart won 7-6 (7-4) at number two doubles while
Tova Tilk Tobrand (Gothenburg, Sweden / User Experience (UX) Design) and Botsford won 7-6 (10-8) at number three.
Yu and Sukkanha lost 2-6 at number one doubles.
SINGLES: Yue Yu (Dalian, China / Illustration) and
Alessia Piccoliori (S.Cristina (BZ), Italy / Graphic Design) won at number two and three singles. Yu defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-3 while Piccoliori won 6-3, 6-4.
Priya Sukkanha (Nothaburi, Thailand / Fashion Marketing and Management) lost 5-7, 5-7 at number one singles while
Francina Llompart (Palma De Mallorca / Interior Design) lost 7-5, 5-7, 1-6 at number four singles.
Nicole Katzarkov (Germantown, Tenn. / Preservation Design) and
Britain Botsford (Delray Beach, Fla. / Film and Television) lost 6-7 (6), 4-6 and 2-6, 1-6 at numbers five and six singles, respectively.
