Hat Tricks from Siddall and Baldursdottir Lead to 8-1 Win for Women’s Soccer

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The SCAD women's soccer team traveled to Lawrenceville, Ga. and faced Mobile (Ala.) Saturday and won 8-1.

  • The Bees are now 4-3-0 on the season.
  • The Rams are now 0-7-1.

  • Abigail Siddall (Plymouth, Mich. / Film and Television) scored her first collegiate hat trick.
  • Berglind Baldursdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland / Architecture) scored her first hat trick for the Bees.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Just over two and half minutes into the first half, Siddall scored the first goal of the game.
  • Mobile answered just under five minutes later to tie the game at 1-1. It would be the only goal of the game for the Rams.
  • Siddall scored her second and third goals at the 14:33 and 20:11 marks to give SCAD a 3-1 lead.
  • Emily Miller (Cary, N.C. / Advertising and Branding) scored the last goal of the half at 38:12 to take a 4-1 lead into halftime.
  • Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, Baldursdottir scored back-to-back goals to give the Bees a 5-1 lead.
  • Lane Lieberman (Chevy Chase, Md. / Visual Communication) assisted on the seventh-goal, fourth by Siddall, to go up 7-1 in the 81st minute.
  • With just under four minutes remaining in the game, Baldursdottir scored the final goal off an assist from Gabrielle Slye (Charleston, S.C. / Interior Design) to give SCAD the 8-1 win.

  • Baldursdottir totaled three goals on four shots.
