Men’s Soccer Suffers First Loss of Season

MARIETTA, Ga. – The SCAD men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season as they fell 1-0 to Life University on Thursday.

RECORDS
  • The Bees are now 2-1-3 on the season while the Running Eagles are 2-2-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A tough SCAD defense kept the game scoreless during the first-half, as Life out-shot the Bees 12-2 with one of the shots going on goal.
  • The Bees' last chance to get on the board in the first half came in the 33rd minutes when Caio Lara's (Richmond Hill, Ga. / Architecture) went wide.
  • Life scored the only goal of the game at the 55:12 mark to earn the 1-0 win.
  • At 84:29, Phillip Holtgen (Munich, Germany / Industrial Design) took a header shot (wide) that turned out to be SCAD's last chance as neither team took another shot for the remainder of the game.
