No. 5 Women’s Lacrosse Downs Montreat 24-1

QUICK GOAL: The No. 5 SCAD women's lacrosse team traveled to Montreat College for an early afternoon game on Thursday and are leaving with a dominating SCORE win.

DID YOU KNOW? This is the sixth game in which the Bees have scored 10 or more goals and the fourth game where they have scored 24 or more goals.

RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-1, 6-1 AAC for the season while the Cavaliers are now 5-7, 2-5 AAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Bees took a quick 10-0 lead with 11:36 remaining in the first half. Montreat scored its only goal at the 10:17 mark and SCAD would hold them scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Three more goals for the Bees gave SCAD a 13-1 lead going into the half.

SCAD put on a clinic in the second half as the Bees scored 11 unanswered goals from five different players to take the 24-1 win.

BOX SCORE: Aly De Caro (El Dorado Hills, Calif. / Advertising and Branding) led the offensive charge with four goals and three assists for a game-high seven points.

Tatum Crouch (Easton, Md. / Fashion Marketing and Management) totaled a game-high six goals while Allison Thierry (Stevensville, Md. / Interior Design) followed with five goals and one assist, both totaled six points. Clarke Haas (Pensacola, Fla. / Fashion Marketing and Management) tallied four goals and two assists for six points.

Keagan Plume (Glen Arm, Md. / Architecture) and Brielle Bouchard had two goals with Plume adding one assist and Ainelsy Jones (Harvard, Mass. / Graphic Design) totaling one goal.

Tracy Richards (Poway, Calif. / Visual Effects), Sydney Bowers (Lake Worth, Fla. / Film and Television) and Katie MacMahon (Warrenton, Va. / Performing Arts) nabbed a team-high four ground balls each with Haas, Thierry and Katie Rowell (Waldwick, N.J. / Industrial Design) tallying three each. Crouch totaled two ground balls with Jones, Kallie Collett (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), Plume, Grace Wiley (Olathe, Kan. / Interior Design) and Kambria Barry (Orlando, Fla. / Interior Design) picking up one.

Crouch totaled a game-high 11 draw controls with Plume and Bouchard totaling four and two, respectively.

Goalies Richards and Collett split time in the cage and tallied three and one saves, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will finish the regular season at Asbury University on Saturday, April 10 at 12:00 p.m.
