QUICK GOAL: The No. 1 SCAD women's lacrosse team suffered a tough 19-4 loss to No. 5 Reinhardt University at home Wednesday night.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-1, 1-1 AAC to open the season while the Eagles improve to 5-1, 4-0 AAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Reinhardt opened the game with six goals before
Allison Thierry (Stevensville, Md. / Interior Design) found the back of the net off a
Sophia Milia (Birmingham, Mich. / Business of Beauty & Fragrance) assist to bring the score to 1-6.
SCAD and Reinhardt traded the next two goals with
Clarke Haas (Pensacola, Fla. / Fashion Marketing and Management) scoring at the 8:09 mark to give the Bees' their second goal of the night (2-7).
Tatum Crouch (Easton, Md. / Fashion Marketing and Management) scored the last goal of the half for SCAD with 2:43 remaining on the clock and Reinhardt led 12-3 going into halftime.
Crouch scored the Bees' only goal in the second half as the SCAD fell 19-4.
BOX SCORE: Crouch scored two goals for two points while Haas and Thierry each added one goal.
Milia tallied one assist while
Keagan Plume (Glen Arm, Md. / Architecture) and
Aly De Caro (El Dorado Hills, Calif. / Advertising and Branding) totaled five and four draw controls, respectively.
Kambria Barry (Orlando, Fla. / Interior Design) and
Grace Gibson (Kennesaw, Ga. / Architecture) totaled two ground balls each with Barry adding two caused turnovers.
Goalies
Tracy Richards (Poway, Calif. / Visual Effects) and
Veronica Grega (York, Pa. / Fashion) split time in the cage with Richards nabbing 10 saves and Grega totaling three.
