QUICK GOAL: A career day for Junior
Aly De Caro helps propel the Bees to a 25-1 win over the visiting Bulldogs from Tennessee Wesleyan.
DID YOU KNOW? Aly De Caro (El Dorado Hills, Calif. / Advertising and Branding) scored nine goals and totaled two assists for season high 11 points. The Junior's nine goals ties a single game record shared by
Kayla Nelson and
Sydney Knego.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-1, 2-1 AAC while the Bulldogs fall to 0-8, 0-6 AAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: De Caro scored the first goal for the Bees one minute into the game off an assist from
Tatum Crouch (Easton, Md. / Fashion Marketing and Management).
Olivia Jackson (York, Pa. / Fashion Marketing) scored 17 seconds later to give SCAD a quick 2-0 lead.
Clarke Haas (Pensacola, Fla. / Fashion Marketing and Management) followed with back-to-back goals and then assisted
Keagan Plume () to bring the score to 5-0 at the 19:30 mark.
The Bees scored eight more goals in the first half with De Caro (3),
Ainelsy Jones (Harvard, Mass. / Graphic Design), Haas, Plume,
Allison Thierry (Stevensville, Md. / Interior Design) and
Grace Wiley (Olathe, Kan. / Interior Design) all finding the back of the net to give SCAD a 13-0 lead going into the half.
De Caro, once again opened the scoring for the Bees just over a minute into the second half. The junior went on to score four more goals on her way to the record books.
Sophia Milia (Birmingham, Mich. / Business of Beauty & Fragrance) scored her first goal of the game at the 25:35 mark while Haas followed two minutes later to bring the score to 16-0.
Crouch, Haas (2), Jackson and Jones rounded out the scoring for SCAD. The Bulldogs scored the last goal of the game with 50 seconds remaining on the clock as the Bees won 25-1.
BOX SCORE: Along with De Caro, Milia helped lead the offense, dishing up eight assists and scoring one goal for nine points.
Haas scored a career high six goals and totaled three assists for eight points while Jackson, Plume and Jones tallied two goals each.
Thierry totaled two assists and one goal for three points.
Plume led the way in draw controls with a game-high six while Crouch and
Brielle Bouchard totaled four each. De Caro tallied two draw controls while Milia and Jones added one apiece.
Sydney Bowers (Lake Worth, Fla. / Film and Television) caused four turnovers while Jones and Crouch totaled three and two, respectively.
Goalies
Tracy Richards (Poway, Calif. / Visual Effects) and
Kallie Collett split time in the cage with Richards totaling three saves.
