5-0 Win for No. RV Women’s Soccer

HIALEAH, Fla. – The No. RV SCAD women's soccer team traveled to Hialeah, Fla. to face Florida Memorial University and are coming home with a 5-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SCAD's defense held Florida Memorial to only three shots, all in the second half and only one was on goal.
  • The Bees took a 1-0 lead at the seven-minute mark when Pauline Watta (Rheine, Germany) found the back of the net off an assist from Sydney Chura (Milford, Mich.).
  • A minute later, Chura scored her first goal off an assist from Abigail Siddall () to give SCAD the 2-0 lead.
  • Neither team scored for the remainder of the half.
  • Just under 10 minutes into the second-half, Jillian DeGidio scored off an assist from Berglind Baldursdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland / Architecture) to go up 3-0.
  • Siddall scored, assist from Lane Lieberman (Chevy Chase, Md. / Visual Communications), at the 77:51 mark to give the Bees a 4-0 lead.
  • The last goal of the game in the 85th minute as Ines Sommer (Lisbon, Portugal / Film and Television) assisted Chura to ultimately give SCAD the 5-0 win.

  • Chura led the Bees with two goals on four shots, all of which were on goal. She also added an assist.
  • Watta and Siddall totaled one goal and two shots while DeGidio tallied one goal on one shot.
  • Baldursdottir, Siddall, Sommer and Lieberman all totaled one assist each.
  • Goalie Paige Hickman (Aurora, Colo. / Animation) earned the win in her 90 minutes of work.
