QUICK SCORE: The No. 1 ranked SCAD women's lacrosse team opened the Appalachian Athletic Conference action with a 29-0 shutout win over Columbia College.

RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-0, 1-0 AAC to open the season while the Koalas are 0-1.

HIGH SCORING ACTION: SCAD opened the game with a goal by Sophia Milia (Birmingham, Mich. / Business of Beauty and Fragrance) not even 30 seconds into the first half and they did not look back. Less than 30 second later back to back goals from Allison Thierry (Stevensville, Md. / Interior Design) and Tatum Crouch (Easton, Md. / Fashion Marketing and Management) both assisted by Jordan Mitchell (Tualatin, Ore. / Photography) gave the Bees a quick 3-0 lead.

Crouch (2), Milia (2), Harper Barth (Culver City, Calif. / Advertising and Branding), Mitchell (2), Thierry (2), Mackenzie DeMott (Dix Hills, N.Y. / Fashion), Taylor Rosenfeld (Nanuet, N.Y. / User Experience (UX) Design), Lily McCormick (Birmingham, Ala. / Film and Television), Kendall Morfis (Bayville, N.Y. / Fashion), Kegan Plume (Glen Arm, Md. / Architecture) and Casey Summerson (Woodstock, Md. / Industrial Design) rounded out the scoring for the Bees in the first half.

Crouch scored at the 28:36 mark in the second half to start the offense off an assist from Grace Boyer (Stevensville, Md. / Interior Design). Fourteen seconds later, Mitchell scored back to back goals to give SCAD the 19-0 lead.
Mae Dougherty (Cumberland, Maine / Interior Design) (2), DeMott, Morfis (2), Olivia Jackson (York, Pa. / Fashion Marketing), Madeline Collins (Charlotte, N.C. / Fashion), Rosenfeld, Katie MacMahon (Warrenton, Va. / Performing Arts) and L. McCormick scored the remaining 10 goals for the 29-0 win.

BOX SCORE: Fifteen Bees combined to score SCAD's 29 goals.

Mitchell led the offense with five goals and two assists for seven points to go along with five draw controls.

Crouch and Morfis totaled three goals with Crouch picking up two ground balls and four draw controls while Morfis tallied three ground balls and five draw controls.

Rosenfeld, Thierry, Milia, L. McCormick, Dougherty and DeMott totaled two goals each with Rosenfeld (1), Thierry (2), Dougherty (2) and DeMott (1) tallying assists.

Plume, Barth, Collins, Summerson, Jackson and MacMahon all each added one goal with Summerson and Boyer totaling one assist.

Goalie Haley McCullough earned the win in her 60 minutes of work.
