QUICK STORY: The No. 5 ranked SCAD women's tennis team dropped the home opener against No. 2 Keiser University. After falling short in the doubles matches, the Bees only picked up one match to end with a 6-1 loss.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 0-1, 0-1 TSC, while the Seahawks improve to 2-0, 2-0 TSC.
 
DID YOU KNOW? The scoring system has now changed to the NCAA DI format which means that whoever team wins the best of three matches earns a singles doubles point. The score is now the best of seven.
 
DOUBLES ACTION: Valerie Droop (Hilton Head, S.C. / Advertising and Branding) and Nicole Katzarkov (Coral Gables, Fla. / Preservation Design) fell 4-6 at the number one doubles spot. 
 
Haley Morrissey (Frisco, Texas / Animation) and Tova Tilk Tobrand (Gothenburg, Sweden / Industrial Design) lost 4-6 at number two doubles, while Priya Sukkanha (Nothaburi, Thailand / Fashion) and Francine Voit (Boca Raton, Fla. / Interior Design) lost 2-6 at three doubles.
 
SINGLES ACTION: Sukkanha won the single point for the Bees winning 6-1, 6-0 at the number one spot.
 
Droop fell 7-6, 7-7 (0-5) at number two singles while Katzarkov fell short in a third-set tiebreaker, losing 6-7 (0-4), 6-1,1 0-8 at three singles. 
 
Morrissey lost 6-0, 6-3 at four singles while Tobrand lost 6-2, 6-3 at the fifth singles spot.
 
Voit fell 6-2, 6-4 at the six singles spot.
