Box Score QUICK STORY: The No. 10 ranked SCAD men's lacrosse team overcomes No. 8 Keiser University on Saturday at home Saturday afternoon.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-3 overall while the Seahawks are now 5-6 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Seahawks took a 3-0 lead before the Bees got on the board by goals from
Elliot Fish and
Wolf Zachar at the 2:33 and 2:14 marks in the first quarter. Keiser scored the last goal of the quarter to end the first with a 4-2 lead.
Keiser scored the first goal of the second quarter less than 20 seconds in. The Bees answered with goals from
Sean Parmer (11:47) and Zachar (7:16) to cut the lead to one (5-4).
Both teams scored one more goal of the half with
Jordan Reeves scoring the last at the 1:23 mark to go into the half down 6-5.
SCAD outscored –
Liam Thomas (2),
Jackson Bryan, Zachar and
Banks Maynard - Keiser 5-4 in the third quarter to tie the game at 10-all going into the final quarter.
The Bees dominated the fourth quarter, scoring six goals to the Seahawks one with Thomas, Parmer (2), Zachar, Fish and
JT Smith finding the back of the cage to earn the 16-11 win.
BOX SCORE: Zachar led the offense for SCAD with four goals. Thomas totaled three goals and three assists for a team-high six points.
Parmer added three goals while Fish totaled two. Maynard, Smith, Reeves and Bryan added one goal a piece with Reeves adding two assists as well.
Matt Tolmer and Smith totaled five ground balls while Parmer,
Tyler Hunsaker and
Bryant Aquino totaled three caused turnovers.
Goalie
Ross Wiseman totaled six saves in his 60 minutes of work.
