QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah women's tennis team continues to win after their three-day winning spree over spring break. The team won its eighth-straight match Saturday when the team defeated College of Coastal Georgia 8-1.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 9-1, 5-1 TSC while Southeastern Falls to 6-10, 3-4 TSC.
DOUBLES ACTION: SCAD lead 3-0 at the completion of doubles.
Priya Sukkanha and
Johanna Weber defeated their number one doubles opponent 8-1.
Tova Tilk Tobrand and
Haley Morrissey won 8-4 at number two doubles.
Valerie Droop and
Nicole Katzarkov won at number three doubles 9-7.
SINGLES ACTION: Sukkanha defeated her number one singles opponent 6-1, 6-0 while Morrissey won 6-0, 6-2 in the number two position.
Weber, at number three singles, and Droop at number four singles, won 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1, respectively.
Tilk Tobrand won 6-0, 6-3 at the number six spot.
Katzarkov battled but fell 6-1, 3-6, 8-10 at the fifth line.
COACH O: "The lady bees arrived in Brunswick today with a plan of individual commitment and focus to a group effort and that was the best team work today. They won all three doubles and took five of six singles for a solid day of tennis."
