HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD scored the first five goals of the game with the first coming from
Allison Thierry just under three minutes in.
Harper Barth,
Drew Dowgiallo,
Aly De Caro and
Jordan Mitchell scored the next four goals before Tennessee Wesleyan scored at the 24:13 mark.
Dowgiallo scored two more goals within two minutes of each other (19:24, 17:52) to give the Bees a 6-1 lead.
The Bulldogs scored twice more (7-3) before
Sophia Milia, Thierry, De Caro and Jordan scored the remaining four goals of the half with Tennessee Wesleyan adding one more before the clock ran out. The Bees took a 11-4 lead into halftime.
The Bees scored eight goals –
Taylor Rosenfeld, Mitchell, Thierry,
Jenna Nabridge, Milia, Dowgiallo and
Olivia Stahl – before the Bulldogs scored at the 15:48 mark (19-5).
Mackenzie DeMott and Thierry combined for four more SCAD goals with the last coming at the 8:44 mark (23-5).
Twenty-four seconds later, Tennessee Wesleyan score their last goal and SCAD's
Mae Dougherty scored the last goal of the game with just over six and a half minutes remaining to give the Bees the 24-6 win.
BOX SCORE: Mitchell led the way for the Bees with a game-high 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) to go along with a team high six ground balls, five draw controls and one caused turnover.
Thierry totaled five goals and two assists for seven points.
Dowgiallo scored four goals as well while De Caro, Milia and DeMott scored two goals each with Milia adding an assist.
Stahl, Barth, Dougherty, Rosenfeld and Nabridge all scored one goal apiece.
Knego and De Caro totaled three draw controls with
Grace Boyer and Rosenfeld added two each.

Maggie Lortz,
Tracy Richards and
Liv Vieira all spent time in the cage and totaled four, three and two saves, respectively.
