QUICK SCORE: The SCAD men's lacrosse team continued on their hot start to the season by defeating Point by a 10-4 margin, in their first road contest.
RECORD: The Bees are 2-0 this season while the Skyhawks open the season 0-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED? SCAD and Point alternated the first five goals of the contest, with the Bees getting on the board first via a
Jordan Reeves goal at the 14-minute mark off of a
Liam Thomas pass.
The Bees overcame a one-goal second quarter deficit and never looked back. Scoring eight of the last nine goals, the Bees dominated the Skyhawks in the second half, with a five to one margin.
SCAD closed out the fourth quarter with goals by four different Bees, two of which were unassisted.
BOX SCORE: The Bees totaled 38 shots, with 26 on goal, as opposed to Point's 17, with 14 of those on goal.
SCAD's
Ross Wiseman will pick up the win, his second of collegiate career; while Point's Ethan Shugart is charged with the loss.
JT Smith led the Bees in faceoffs with 71% (10/14), while
Zane Gannon had a 25% success rate.
