QUICK SCORE: The SCAD men's lacrosse traveled to NCAA DII Rollins College on Sunday and lost 25-4.
RECORDS: The Bees are no 3-2 to open the season while Rollins is 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Rollins scored four goals in the first quarter before the Bees got on the board when
Bryant Aquino scored with 9:47 remaining in the quarter. Unfortunately, Rollins scored six unanswered goals to take a 10-1 lead into the second quarter.
SCAD scored the first two goals in the second quarter when
Liam Thomas and
Elliot Fish found the back of the net to cut the lead to seven (10-3). Rollins answered with seven goals of their own to go into halftime up 17-3.
Thomas scored the last goal of the game for the Bees, just over five minutes into the third quarter to bring the score to 17-4. At this point, SCAD's defense held Rollins to only eight more goals to end the game 25-4.

Benny Goldberg nabbed a season-high 17 saves in his first collegiate game during his 45 minutes of work.
Thomas continues to find the net, scoring two goals for two points, bringing his goal tally for the season to 10. The freshman also leads the team in points with 21 (10g, 11a).
Fish and Aquino scored one goal each while
Jude Kuhn added one assist.
JT Smith had a team-high six ground balls while
Jordan Reeves,
Jackson Bryan and Goldberg added three each.
COACH CUMMINGS: "Rollins is a good, big, team and even though the point differential was high, we never gave up" states Head Coach
Michael Cummings. "The guys continued to fight through the end and I am very proud of them today."
WHAT'S NEXT? SCAD will travel to No. 1 Reinhardt on Feb. 23 for a 5:00 p.m. match-up in Waleska, Ga.
