QUICK SCORE: The No. 6 SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to No. 1 Reinhardt on Saturday and lost 16-5.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-3 on the season while the Eagles are now 1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED? Reinhardt opened the game with four goals that went unanswered in the first quarter to take an early 4-0 lead.
The Eagles scored the first goal of the second quarter but SCAD answered with two of their own when
Wolf Zachar and
Jude Kuhn – off an assist from Zachar – found the back of the net to cut the lead to three (5-2).
Zachar scored his second goal of the game with seven seconds remaining in the half to go into the half down by four (7-3).
Reinhardt scored seven goals to start the third quarter before
Sean Parmer scored off a pass from Zachar to bring the score to 14-4.
Zachar scored his third goal for a hat trick with 9:38 on the clock in the fourth quarter but it would be the Bees' last goal of the game as Reinhardt went on to win 16-5.
BOX SCORE: Zachar led the way for the Bees score three goals and adding two assists for a team-high five points.
Kuhn and Parmer totaled one goal each.
Aaron Allen totaled a team high four ground balls while
JT Smith added three to go with his eight face off wins. Zachar and
Matt Tolmer tallied two ground balls each.
Goalie
Ross Wiseman totaled four saves in 45 minutes while
Benny Goldberg totaled three in 15 minutes of action.
