Game Recap: No. RV Men's Lacrosse | | Sports Information Director

No. 6 Men’s Lacrosse Fall to No. 7 Keiser

QUICK SCORE: The No. 6 SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to West Palm Beach, Fla. on Saturday and lost to No. 7 Keiser University 16-7. 
 
The Bees are now 3-1 on the season while the Seahawks improve to 1-1. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Keiser scored the first goal of the game less than four minutes in to take an early 1-0 lead. SCAD tied the game six minutes later with a goal from Wolf Zachar
 
The Seahawks score two unanswered goals to end the first quarter with a 3-1 lead. 
 
Unfortunately, Keiser scored five goals before SCAD's Sean Parmer and Zachar scored the last two goals of the half to cut the lead to five (8-3) going into halftime. 
 
The third quarter started much like the second with a he Seahawks scoring four goals with the last coming with 6:54 remaining in the quarter. The Bees scored at the six-minute mark when Liam Thomas found the back of the net to bring the score to 12-4.
 
Zachar scored his third goal of the game in the third quarter to bring the score to 13-5. However, the Seahawks scored the last two goals of the quarter to take a 15-5 lead into the fourth. 
 
SCAD outscored Keiser in the fourth quarter 2-1 with Jordan Reeves and Jude Kuhn scoring the two before Keiser scored the last goal of the game to earn the 16-7 win. 
 
BOX SCORE: Zachar scored a hat trick to lead the Bees' offense while Thomas, Kuhn, Reeves and Sean Parmer all added one goal. 
 
Thomas tallied two assists with Reeves, Banks Maynard and JT Smith adding one. 
 
Smith went 14-25 in face offs while Keiser won 11. 
 
Goalie Ross Wiseman nabbed eight saves in his 45 minutes of work while Derek Amoth totaled five in 15 minutes. 
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain on the road for a 1:00 p.m. game at Rollins College on Sunday, Feb. 17.
