Men’s Soccer to Host TSC Quarterfinals After Win

QUICK GOAL: The SCAD men's soccer team will now host a Sun Conference quarterfinal game after defeating Ave Maria 3-0 at home Saturday afternoon.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This is the first time since 2016 in which the men's soccer team has hosted a TSC playoff game.
 
SENIORS: Prior to the start of the game, the two graduating member of the team were recognized – Jacob Jensen and Kevin Kaluve.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 7-4-2, 5-2-2 TSC while the Gyrenes end the season with 2-13-2, 1-7-1 TSC record.
 
HAT TRICK: Ty Bennett scored all three goals for the Bees with the first coming just over 30 seconds into the second half off an assist from Jesus Ulloa.
 
His second goal game 30 minutes later at the 75:30 mark while the third came in the 90thminute off an assist by Nassim El Bouhtouri.
 
BOX SCORE: The Bees outshot the Gyrenes 18-11 with 10 of those going on goal. Bennett led the offensive charge with five shots. 
 
Tom Barry and Lewis Gamble totaled four shots each with Gamble sending three on goal and Barry two.
 
Jayden Corbridge tallied two shots while Jacob Jensen, Erik Ulloa and J. Ulloa totaled one shot each.
 
Goalie Joe Parker earned the shutout win with two saves in his 90 minutes of work.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will host a TSC quarterfinal round on Saturday, November 9, opponent to be determined.
