QUICK GOAL: The SCAD men's soccer team clinched its Sun Conference playoff spot Wednesday night with a 4-1 over the visiting Warner University Royals.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 6-4-2, 4-2-2 TSC while the Royals are now 7-6-2, 3-3-2 TSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Bees score two goals in each half while the Royals scored in the last six minutes to get on the board.
Matteo Tizzano scored the first goal of the game at the 21:38 mark to give the Bees a 1-0 lead.
Tom Barry doubled the lead when he scored two minutes later off an assist from
Jesus Ulloa.
J. Ulloa scored a goal of his own 13 minutes into the second half to give SCAD a 3-0 lead.
Ty Bennett scored the last of SCAD's goals at the 66:17 mark to make it 4-0.
The Royals scored the last goal of the game for a final score of 4-1.
BOX SCORE: Tizzano scored one goal and took five shots while Barry, J. Ulloa and Bennett totaled one goal and three shots each.
Jayden Corbridge took four shots with
Ben Jacobson and
Lewis Gamble totaling two shots a piece.
Jacob Jensen,
McKinley Fodness and
Billy Mitchell tallied one shot each.
Goalie
Joe Parker earned the win with five saves in his 90 minutes of work.
