Men’s Soccer Takes Down Florida Memorial

QUICK GOAL: The SCAD men's soccer team traveled to Florida Memorial and won 5-2 Saturday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-4, 2-2 TSC while the Lions are now 2-8, 1-3 TSC.
 
 HOW IT HAPPENED: Just over five minutes into the game Jesus Ulloa scored to give the Bees a 1-0 lead. 
 
Ty Bennett scored three minutes later to give SCAD the 2-0 lead. Not even three minutes later, the Lions scored their first goal of the game to cut the lead in half.
 
At the 32:19 mark, Florida Memorial tied the game 2-2. Neither team scored for the remainder of the half to keep the game tied.
 
At the 46:04 mark, SCAD broke the tie and 20minutes later, Matteo Tizzano scored, off an assist from J. Ulloa to increase the Bees' lead to two (4-2).
 
Tom Barry scored the last goal of the game off a pass from Lewis Gamble to clinch the 5-2 lead.
 
BOX SCORE: Bennett totaled four shots, four on goal, with one score to lead the Bees.
 
Tizzano totaled two shots and one goal while Barry and J. Ulloa tallied one goal on one shot each with J. Ulloa adding one assist.
 
Jayden Corbridge, McKinley Fodness and Ethan Brooks all totaled one shot each.
 
Goalie Joe Parker tallied three saves in his 90 minutes of work.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will host Southeastern on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.
