No. 9 Men’s Lacrosse Undefeated at Home with Senior Day Win

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The No. 9 SCAD men's lacrosse team is undefeated at home with a 11-9 win over Columbia College (Mo.) at home on Senior Day.

RECORDS: The Bees are 7-4 overall with one regular season game remaining while the Cougars fall to 2-5.

SENIOR DAY: Prior to the start of the game, SCAD recognized the nine senior members of the team: Jack Cioffi, Brendan Buckley, Griffin Hunt, Connor Goonan, Connor Keehn, John Hadel, Spencer Eade, Eric Potts and CJ Curran,

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Bees opened the game with a hat-trick from Buckley with his third goal coming at the 8:52 mark in the first quarter. The Cougars answered with two goals of their own to come within one (3-2) going into the second quarter.

SCAD out-scored Columbia 2-1 in the second half to go up 5-3 at halftime.

The Cougars turned it around on the Bees and scored four goals to SCAD's two in the third quarter to tie the game at seven going into the final quarter.

SCAD answered with four more goals while holding Columbia to only two to earn the 11-9 win.

BOX SCORE: Buckley came up big for the Bees with a game-high five goals and one assist for a game-high six points.

Mitch Snider, Cioffi, Jude Kuhn, Hunt, Potts and Jackson Bryan all added one goal with Snider, Cioffi, Hunt totaling one assist as well.

Elliot Fish tallied two assists and five ground balls while Joseph Smith went 12-22 in face offs and grabbed a game-high seven ground balls.

Goalie Connor Goonan (7-4) totaled 15 saves in his 60 minutes of work to earn the win.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel to No. 4 Keiser University on April 14 for a 1:00 p.m. game.
