No. 5 Men’s Lacrosse Wins at Home

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The No. 5 SCAD men's lacrosse team defeated Concordia University (Mich.) 18-7 at home Friday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 5-1 overall while the Cardinals fall to 1-4.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This is the fifth game this season in which the Bees have scored 10 or more goals.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The first and fourth quarters were key to winning the game. SCAD outscored Concordia 6-1 in the first quarter and 5-0 in the fourth to clinch the win.
 
In the second quarter the Bees totaled three goals while the Cardinals scored two and both teams scored four in the third quarter.
 
BOX SCORE: Brendan Buckley led the charge for SCAD as he scored four goals and tallied four assists for a game-high eight points.
 
Eric Potts totaled a game-high five goals and one assist for six points while Mitch Snider and Wolf Zachar added two goals and two assists each.
 
Jude Kuhn scored two goals and added one assist with Elliot Fish, Jack Cioffi and Bennett Linzey tallied one goal each.
 
Snider went 10-16 on face offs while Joseph Smith went 8-13. Smith added nine ground balls and Snider eight.
 
Goalies Connor Goonan and Connor Keehn split time in the cage with Goonan picking up seven saves and Keehn six.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will be in Livonia, Mich. On March 20 to take on Madonna University.
