Tough Road Loss for Men's Lacrosse

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The SCAD men's lacrosse team dropped its first game of the season at the Cumberlands Saturday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-1 while the Patriots improve to 1-1.
 
WHAT HAPPENED? Cumberlands scored the first four goals of the game to take a 4-0 lead into the second period.
 
Mitch Snider and Brendan Buckley answered with a goal each at the 6:23 and 4:12 marks in the second period to cut the lead in half (4-2).
 
Unfortunately, the Bees only scored three more goals to the Patriots' seven, throughout the remainder of the game.
 
Sean Parmer scored with just over two minutes remaining in the first half while Jack Cioffi scored in the third period and Snider scored the last goal for the Bees in the fourth.
 
BOX SCORE: Snider scored two goals for two points while Cioffi totaled one goal and one assist for two points.
 
Buckley and Parmer had a goal apiece while Eric Potts tallied one assist.
 
Snider nabbed four ground balls while Cioffi and Buckley totaled three each. Four other artist-athletes tallied two ground balls.
 
Tyler Hunsaker caused three turnovers while Connor Goonan caused one.
 
Goalies Connor Keehn (1-1) and Connor Goonan split time in the cage and grabbed eight and four saves, respectively.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees return home to host Reinhardt on March 2 at 7:00 p.m.
