QUICK HIT: SCAD women's tennis players Johanna Weber and Priya Sukkanha competed at the three-day ITA Cup NAIA Doubles tournament on October 11-14.
 
ITA CUP: The 2018 ITA Cup consists of four divisions of collegiate tennis teams – NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, NAIA and JUCO. 
 
The Cup sees players from all four divisions competing against each other for a chance to compete at the Oracle IT National Fall Championships in California.
 
The Bees earned a spot at the ITA Cup by winning the ITA Regional Championships at the end of September.
 
RESULTS: On day one, Weber and Sukkanha faced Union College out of Kentucky and lost 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.
 
The Bees faced McPherson College on day two and fought tough but lost 3-6, 7-6(1), 10-5.
 
On the final day, Weber and Sukkanha took on Indiana Wesleyan and won 6-2, 6-4.
 
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? SCAD finished in seventh-place amongst some of the top teams in the nation.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will return home to host the SCAD Fall Invite presented by Coca-Cola on October 26-28.
